There is a difference between being bored and being horny, no? It’s not human contact that I miss, it’s intimacy that is such a distant memory.

She sounds happy. She’s with her mother who also sounds good.
I am writing here in the shadows contented… raising up the dead from my faulty memory.
She’s the one with all the hopes and dreams. I can hear it in her voice. I am nothing more than a grateful listener.

This quiet Sunday with barren streets… Was preceded by Saturday unrest which included Jason and Irene screaming in unison from both the north and south sides of Queen Street at Jamieson for hours.
Here in my backyard I can hear none of that. In the distance there are children playing…

The sun rose again today spreading light on and through the gloom.
Again I slept with the night and woke with the day and am again grateful for the peace and quiet that is this… here and now.

The present is on hold.
The future is more uncertain than ever.
I am lost in the past. Winding down those roads and rivers of yesteryears. Tis safe there now even though it wasn’t safe then… Ah the perspective of survival!

It was like that on the farm… not knowing. A naive dream state where few answers were forthcoming.
I left the farm and the river to the answers, past where the tides went and now I am there… feeling contentment at having had that time of naivete.
