Everyday a Victory?

My job now is in isolation where in the past I would do this for pleasure. Ah but that’s a recent development. I was very needy in my youth.

All that changes now. More than just the air… For some are truly suffering. Opportunity awaits everyday to help those in need.

Things have truly changed. Will there be a shortage of heroes?

Drunken Sailors

The Canadian government and our fearless cheque signing leader are handing out money like drunken sailors!

I’m currently lined up in a que at the bank who have signed on with this gift giving protocol with smiles and reckless abandon.

What could possibly go wrong here? Maybe this is nothing more than my sense of dread and doom kicking in. Perhaps this is leadership?

Still

It’s still now…

Except for the wind and the madness. Mainly it’s still, except I should be asleep.

I keep the madness close to me. There’s nothing new here to see except…

Maybe my sister is right.

Maybe I should try not being alone.

Something in the World

It may be time to slow down as something in the world has spoken.

I saw Victor and Carmelina today and we all stood at a distance, not indifferent to the absurdity of all that.

I dropped off my daughter to her Mom and got a coffee at 5 Elements and am now on an almost empty subway remembering that Zylia read Dr Suess’s ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ to me last night and gave me a haircut days before that. She can read now!

All is not lost, Happy Easter!

Happy Easter

I sometimes forget the significance of certain holidays. Easter is a prime example.

On Thursday before Good Friday was when I discovered it was Easter weekend approaching, because my daughter reminded me of her expectations for chocolate and eggs.

Steve, the chronic alcoholic yelled ‘Happy Easter’ to me from his sidewalk seat today and I was awakened from my thoughts of wonder (not really… I can’tremember what I was thinking) on Good Friday and Christ dying for our sins and went shopping for chocolate eggs.

Lepers in the Graveyard

The lepers spent their time in graveyards because their options were somewhat limited. Ancient social distancing.

We are asked to stay at home and some of us are fortunate enough to have one of these.

Upon healing the 10 lepers, one returned to thank Jesus, which begged the question where were the other 9?

The math still stands.

Outside looking In

Just before I awoke around noon, I had a drinking dream; which by itself isn’t significant except I haven’t had a drink of alcohol in over 15 and 1/2 years.

I had consumed about half of glass of wine when I turned to see so a man was watching me. I felt judgment.

The unconsciousness mind is a fascinating thing and always influenced by our surroundings.

The Visitor

David visited me today… and talked about Van Allen’s radiation belt, Molly’s Soliloque written by James Joyce and the Myres Briggs personality indicators, among other things

The wonderful thing about having intelligent friends is not that they show you how unintelligent you are; it’s the education they provide.
