Fair Enough

She said, “I don’t ever think about back then… everything I’ve read on the matter suggests it’s best to be in the now.”

I realized in that moment I had been the force in this direction. No doubt driven by a 15 years absence in contact.

“I can’t change anything from back there and I don’t want to feel guilt or shame about it.”

I will keep my large dirty secrets nuzzled in the darkened silence of chitchat masks of the now and live with that, my dear.

Eavesdropper Interloper

They’re getting louder now!

The humans on public transit…

Pronouncements are punctuated with attitude and distrustful anger.

I understand the single car driver’s, going nowhere fast; listening to whatever they choose.

Maybe it’s time to lease a gas guzzler and join Denis Leary… going slow in the ultra fast lane.

Cursed

She said, ” We’re cursed… the entire family. All of us. ”

I listened and decided to say silent. She seemed so convinced. It’s not that I don’t believe in curses… It’s possible: However I think it’s easy to look for the boogeyman instead of just accepting the fact that children who grow up without fathers are disadvantaged.

We are that family: Me and my 2 sisters.

George Morris said we are either victims or volunteers. When we are children we are victims. When we are adults: mostly we are volunteers. Maybe that’s why I have never thought of myself as cursed.Dennis Mantin

Einstein Sarcasm

A woman old enough to know better referred to the girl getting her coffee as “Einstein.”

After the woman left, the barista looked at her co-worker and said, “Can you believe that? She called me Einstein. ”

The co-worker said, “Like being rude?”

She answered, “Like yeah?!”

I don’t know who is more entertaining: millennials or the generation that raised them?
