Foibles

Sometimes I get so wrapped up in thought… I forget the simplest of social graces:

Leaving a conversation without saying goodbye or even acknowledging that I’m going… just go.

The looks of shock and sometimes as I walk away or laughter with the shaking of heads alerts me to my crimes.

In olden times in the blush of youth I got away with such foibles because I was perceived as an artist, or I was drunk.

I am teachable enters a new phase!
