Retrospectively I was never much of a risk taker, in the way that some I are. Consequences are the cause of this behavior module, not morality… This didn’t exist naturally, several childhood incidents forged this path. I got caught stealing as a post toddler and people stopped talking to me. I fell off a railway bridge, showing off, my mother called it, and a concussion rocked my world and established a deep respect for this gift of life. Always consequences but gifts as well. Aesop was correct I believe on many fronts, but slow and steady does win the race.
Risk taking also slows down proportionately with the reduction in alcohol and drug abuse. Prisons would not be quite as populated if the risk takers fueled by mind altering substances were removed, I suspect.
