I have zero desire to be so kind that this generosity will leave me wounded or destroyed.

I say this because I do see this opportunity arise often in my dealings with humanity.

However I have this desire for truth and sometimes I find the courage for such risks.

Albert Camus said, “After awhile, we can get used to anything. “

He also wrote, “Mother died today.”

I wonder if he got used to that. It took me awhile…

However I must concur with The Outsider.

I knew you were lying and I didn’t give a fuck… What a rush!

The solid wise decisions in life I have found don’t come in a snap, but happen gradually over time.

Like, I didn’t know at first that I was a better writer than a talker.

However after many embarrassments of shamed silence, I realized that shutting up and taking the few extra seconds to think before speaking; led to the more silent reserved loner existence of a writer. A happy accident.

Except when I am with her…

Her I can make laugh with the sound of my voice.

It’s March of Lamb and Lion.

It is darkest before the dawn.

Still cold and getting colder.

On the street that’s my front lawn.

Still working in the city.

I guess it’s what I do.

Still feel something could break soon.

Something good for me and you.

It’s raining now in February, no snow and ground is wet.

They say that it’s not over, there’s still more punishment to get.

I’m stuck here with my baby and my baby she is nine.

We are stranded here in paradise, alive and doing fine.

I decided not to follow, the path was to well worn.

The walkers were all burdened with a look of wrath and scorn.

Except for faraway daydreamers and yes there was a few.

As long as they didn’t smile to long at the not too happy crew.

It was difficult to leave them but I knew I could not stay.

There was no hugs or sad goodbyes, just ‘you best be on your way.’

I sometimes think about them or see one in my dreams.

And sometimes they all laugh at me and are busting at the seams.

It’s all joy now on the home front.

All the sadness has rained down.

The blue birds are all dancing.

Since Miss Drama has left town.

Now I’m not saying I don’t miss her.

Not saying that there’s no stress.

I am just thankful for the silence.
