Fraser

My older cousin Fraser whom I haven’t seen in decades doesn’t remember me.

It’s a little unsettling to not register to someone’s mind when they’ve been so important to my memories.

Ah, further motivation to leave my mark with a wee bit more force.

The Light

My efforts to get lightsshine on my art is being rewarded with a full spectrum glow!

Such a fabulous thing that brings such simple joy, and can work in the opposite way with equal ease.

Am I learning to treat those 2 imposters, success and failure just the same?

Not in the moment, I’m not…

Quoting Van Gogh

I took the time that now seems a lifetime ago, to read some of his letters to his brother Theo and was left with the impression that his reputation for madness was exaggerated; and was left with the idea that he might be a better writer than he was a painter.

If that was possible!

Thanks to Luisa for posting part of this quote from Van Gogh and his skies…

” It is obvious that putting little white dots on the blue-black is not enough to paint a starry sky. ”

Something To Get Accustomed To…

I meet you in a world, where words they weigh like air.

You hide behind a logline with that long lost terror stare.

You make it so all inviting, its familiar to the bone.

But it smells of desperation, and looks so all alone.

You say that you want honest but in this you’re not as sure.

Cause that ones gonna cut both ways and you’re so far from pure.

I’m not in love, I used to be. I’ve risen past the glare.

Something to get accustomed to, and it seems so far from fair.
