The Number

I used to put the number of posts that I might write or paint at 1111.

However as I close in on this number of posts for this website, I see no reason to stop. I never imagined I would ever have that much to say or that I could reach that goal, which I probably why I chose it.

It started out as ego to show how clever I was and that has morphed into keeping a record of sorts for my daughter so that when she is older… When perhaps what I was thinking or dealing with, might be of importance for her.

Lately, I have come to the conclusion that this might be nothing more than a method for me to order my mind and thoughts… either way the number now is an unknown; short of infinite that only time will tell.

The Clichè

Things are usually more complicated than a simple clichè.

Choosing an ideology wholeheartedly without proper investigation seems insincere at best.

I feel that way about atheists…

Such a thing to believe in nothing.

Seems empty to me.

I cannot wrap my thoughts around the existence of life without a God or Higher Power.

The Job

I have learned to look after me.

No one else seemed willing to do the job.

Now from this lofty plateau of confidence, I am able and willing to take care of her until she’s had enough of that and at that time she will tell me.

She tells me that I am a good Dad and that I am doing a good job.

Diamond Road

One of my earliest childhood memories is from the back seat of a car peering into the blackness of the road being sliced by highbeams… Suddenly, out of nowhere, from the darkness of the country and the trees and forest was the lights of the city! Like a million diamonds shattering the empty.

The possibility of all those people! Surely some will be nice?

I had never before witnessed such a transformation; one second darkness, the next, millions of lights shattering that!

Anything was possible…

What a trip it has been.

There was no turning back!

Impulsivity

The educators say she has issues with Impulsivity and are recommending Medication.

I am of the opinion that many kids have Impulsivity problems and that is part of being a kid and growing up.

I know I certainly did.

Let us see if we can fix this without a 💊

All The Wise Men

“All the wise men in the world, don’t know what it is like to be as ‘Thick as a Brick.” Sang Jethro Tull.

I do.

That plaque of being dumber than a door nail without the sense to shut up is reaping benefits nowadays however I wouldn’t recommend this as a model for successful living.
