The first thing I wrote was when I was 8… The teacher accused me of plagiarism. I remember my mother being so proud. I have definitely been writing for 50 years.

Where do you get inspiration from? Do you travel extensively? Are you socially active?

I started writing my blog about a decade ago. I started out with the best things I’d written previously. I soon ran out of things and I was going through this huge relationship breakup. My daughter wasn’t even speaking yet, so I just started writing about what I was going through. I didn’t care about quality. I just thought that someday it might be of interest to her.

At some point during my Era of early parenthood I began to understand my own childhood. I began to make sense of me by experiencing life with my daughter.
