Death Defying

Took a trip and traveled long.  Got homesick from just a song. Sometimes do get weary from all this flying.

You were there, I left you too. Deep far down I think you knew. Said to myself… I just can’t be lying.

Somewhere between the hurting fool. And this need to be ungodly cruel. Oh behave, I get so sick of trying.

I took it down and looked at self. Put the mirror back on the shelf. All these tears… So sorry, I’m not buying.

Someone said that you were scared. You said you knew I never cared. But this chill is more than death defying.

Went to sleep I had dream. When I woke you heard a scream. It’s OK, no I’m sorry I’m not crying.
