The Technology Gap

It’s not that I feel left behind. That is not the the issue that I see.

There just seems to be less and less reasons to communicate with others at any level. And when you do communicate with people there seems to be barriers instead of help.

At the Receptionist level I feel we used to receive help or direction. Now we get. “Email our office @ … .com.”

“This is your office. You have the information and you have had it for years. Since I am here, can I not just reup the details to make sure you have what you need?”

These are the conversations I am having now.

People are not only working themselves out of a job; they are talking themselves out of any human contact.

I think I can get used to this!
