The Observer

I said I was an observer. Was mainly watching me.

It wasn’t narcissistic. Was never sure how I would be.

It was purely evolution. Osmosis is how I was taught.

If it wasn’t fight or flight. It was prideful can’t be bought.

I said I was an observer, and now I’m watching you.

At least until I get bored which should only take a few.

I loved you for your beauty, at least what I could see.

I looked so long I missed the train to the places I should be.
