The Coma

The summer I was 9, I was in a coma for 2 days following a fall from a railway bridge…

I woke up in a darkened hospital hallway, naked under a hospital gown, with no memory of where I was or how I got there.

It’s taken north of 50 years for me to give any thought about where I was for those 2 days; when others wondered about whether I would live or die…

After I awoke… people talked about miracles and angels.

Perhaps I needed the rest?
