The Weary Travelers

He said, “You’re not alone… it’s a human condition, we’re all tired.”

He seemed sure of himself as if insights had been granted his way giving knowledge about all.

I never argued, perhaps too tired, perhaps I realized there was no way of knowing for me. “Perhaps you’re right.” I grinned and left.

The old guy used to whine that he was tired to the bone. “I wake up tired.” He would say each morning.

I just know that when I’m on vacation, walking the beach and swimming in the waves I seem less weary than when I work 16 hours a day.
