The rains broke through the heavens. There was hope up in the air.

Nothing lasts forever and there’s no such thing as fair.

Except in times of trouble. When skies are far from blue.

You’ll be back in fairer weather. I can always count on you.

She got stranded at the alter of her best friend of the past.

No one knew she had the strength or the will to make it last.

She got stranded in that mindset where time is just a blur.

Where all the rescues came and went and no one looked for her.

So I gathered up some courage and said ‘Boys I’m going in.’

I heard the sound of laughter and a wager for my sin.

She smiled wide and came with me, a new day it did dawn.

She loved her pain and went insane and now all the sun is gone.

It’s the beauty of the struggles, we recall when we are old.

It sounds to me like horseshit, but its something I was told.

I’m not saying I can’t be wrong but I guess we’ll have to wait.

I might look like I’ve been around, but I’m at the starting gate.

I have watched her needlessly live in an unhappy past for longer than is healthy and dwell in her childish delusions with no potential for gain or glory…

He has swallowed cheap wine, sitting on cement at that same corner for decades now and he tells me about his grown children with the tone that all of this happened in another life.

I have a 2 sisters who have both long abandoned any contact with family under the savage judgments of failed expectations while one by one their pasts are buried.

Such a waste all this suffering…

She forgot she hated me during a 25 day Costa Rican vacation; that I paid for and arranged… I got this photo for my efforts and is a reminder that miracles do happen!

She plays with your emotions, it’s just a tool to get her way.

Sometimes she might even know that truth is not her play.

It’s as clever as a breakdown, as tragic as her tears.

Her shaking is as real as rain, her exposure is her fears.

Will you find out she’s a Myth Maker? Will you even care?

Will you be the one to tell her tale? Show her reasons just and fair?

She’s been looking for a Savior before it comes undone.

Someone to hold the spotlight, that shows she is the one.

Time has not been very kind, she is feeling out of thrust.

The pain is not love lost or gone, it’s she will never know a trust.

That line between success and failure… For me, it is best described in paintings. I know when I have instant success.

Failure happens so often, yet all I do is paint it all white and start over until success happens.

Relationships are less forgiving, perhaps due to emotions and long memories?

I have strived for many things in a life of not just failures…

Not for just ego, to be able to say, “Look at the great I am and what I can do and have done…”

I strive to understand what this human struggle means for others who once had hopes and dreams. Can I find compassion and or understanding there?

Nothing in the cupboard except the powder still bone dry.

The creek she still be rising but our hopes are not as high.

If it wasn’t for bad planning we’d be lost without a care.

But someone stumbled into gold and now they’ve got that distant stare.

There’s a moral to the story but the lessons fading fast.

If you don’t plan for tomorrow then your futures in the past.
