Something happened.
That could have had large consequences for me…
But didn’t.
It passed without fanfare.
By luck or the Grace of God!
This changes you.
It is very uplifting and I just want to acknowledge it.

I want her to stay.
I want her to be happy.
Maybe just maybe I want her to love me
Not in that predictable carnal way that
is all the vogue.
Maybe I just want to live with someone
that beautiful and see her happy.

Its 3a.m. on a Friday.
It could be worse like across the street where the fire trucks and ambulance flash red.
I’m trying to make it work.
The only obstacle is money.
I’m resolved to not let money decide.
I want her to stay for so many reasons.
Not all of which will be given voice.

The truth struck a chord. The wine it was poured, and the pain with the fear walked away.
The night air was cool for the beauty and fool with their guests sang and danced all the way.
And Love conquers all, but when motors do stall, then who is it the fiddler does pay?
Lessons are learned to all those concerned and the fool lost his nerve; feet of clay.
There’s a moral you know and there’s choices that go and it depends if you listen or say.
The listener got bored and their faith was restored and the night once again turned to day.

It’s hard to sleep with a racing mind. Questions about fate and destiny take their kismet turn and in the final lap just before sunrise does anything near sleep happen.
Cheers to a long day, another sunrise and may God be with us.

I work for a man who is fair and courageous and he seems mostly filled with gratitude and joy.
Before him I worked for a woman who is also fair and although I can’t speak to her courage, she has been mostly a delight to be around, and is succeeding in a male dominated industry.
I have a neighbor, a Russian Chilean who others seem to fear however we seem mostly to smile when we talk.
I have this cat who I rescued at the age of 12 and Gigi seems fearless and is the most wonderful of companions…
I’m seeing a trend here.
I have a daughter who is returning home tonight and I am excited to see her; and she can give me a look that can stop me in my tracks!

In moments when we held firm
To stay with sway on course
I may have felt a little blush Instead of power, I used force.
We’re older now, and holding firm
I can hear it in his voice
The forgiveness of the younger one
Is the only healthy choice.

Stomach churning…
Nervous
They are almost home.
It’s overcast and I will be forced to face fear.
I must say NO
Not to loudly though for NO has its own increased volume.

Has been many a moon, since I’ve taken a seat at anything but the Bountiful Table.
I remember the 5 days of not eating in the blush of youth when I was too proud to beg and too stupid to steal, as a long ago Myth that happened to someone else… but no, that was me.
I still have trouble asking for what I want. Still fear those rejections. Will give no voice to that lack of power.
I believe in the collective unconscious of my forefathers; guiding from a force of which there is no understanding, just gratitude.
I don’t fear not sitting at that table however I recognize the lack of joy elsewhere.
