I confess…

I misunderstood the meaning of the word muse.

I thought it was more intimate than inspirational however those lines probably sometimes blur.

I have a second muse now and I am grateful for their beauty and joy with both being purely inspirational and what could be more intimate than this?

My older cousin Fraser whom I haven’t seen in decades doesn’t remember me.

It’s a little unsettling to not register to someone’s mind when they’ve been so important to my memories.

I took the time that now seems a lifetime ago, to read some of his letters to his brother Theo and was left with the impression that his reputation for madness was exaggerated; and was left with the idea that he might be a better writer than he was a painter.
