It was a grand idea but all considered, its just as well.

It’s Day 1 of the new world.

Nothing much here has changed.

Still staring at this strange abyss.

Where all seems prearranged.

Except the future and the children.

Where so much can happen yet.

The bookies are all lined up.

Still hedging on a bet.

I am deliriously happy in spite of the efforts of others as this joy seems challenged at every possible point…

I don’t know why others want to pee on my fab attitude; so I just cut that shite off at the pass and hide my humble giggles behind this mask of serious repose.

There’s drama at the schoolyard.

My girl has gotten sick.

There’s no waiting for the bus to come.

So I fly in like a hero.

There was optimism at the terminal.

All the buses are running on time.

No counter has checked the fare.
